Original Paintings
Original paintings have already been created. (These are not the same as commission paintings.)
Most originals represent a specific place in the Midwest that’s close to my heart. Some were created using photos I’ve taken, while others were created from images submitted by my followers.
Originals are painted on professional-quality, 1.5-inch-deep canvas. I use the highest-quality paints and paint markers and seal originals with a clear coat finishing spray to ensure you can enjoy your piece for generations and that it won’t fade over time.
All original paintings will have limited edition prints that are available for sale.
-
Original paintings come ready to hang and can be displayed with or without a custom frame, depending on the look you’re going for.
-
Original paintings are sealed with a protective clear coat (also called varnish), but I find that you can never be too careful. Here are a few tips to make sure your painting shines on forever!
- Do not hang in direct sunlight.
This can cause your painting to fade over time, even though it is protected by multiple layers of clear coat.
- Do not hang below or above heat vents and air ducts or in high moisture areas (like bathrooms).
This can dry out your canvas and stretcher bars (or add too much moisture to them) and cause your canvas to get wavy or paint to crack.
- Do not store at temperatures below 50°F.
Acrylic paint can crack at temperatures below 50°F.
- Never use chemicals on your original painting.
In general, it is best to avoid cleaning acrylic paintings mechanically. Even with a hardened protective varnish, acrylics remain a bit soft at room temperature and in warmer environments, so they can be easily scratched. If a light cleaning becomes necessary, be as gentle as possible and either gently use compressed air or a very soft brush or cloth.
**Please be sure to clean your painting sparingly, only when it is absolutely necessary.
-
Due to their priceless nature, original paintings are shipped with insurance and require a signature at delivery. All original paintings and limited edition prints are packaged with premium packaging material and extreme care. A tracking number will be provided when your painting ships.

Rolled Canvas Prints
These are high-quality rolled canvas prints that are printed right here in Iowa! They are created using premium, archival-grade canvas that is designed to withstand the test of time. You’ll be able to enjoy your art for generations to come.
-
Rolled canvas prints do not come framed, and no frame is included. Instead, your canvas print will have an extra inch of blank canvas around the edge. This allows your framing shop to do their best work without cutting off any parts of the image.
Most professionals recommend that you don’t put a glass/plastic covering over your canvas, and you won’t have to with these as they are sealed and high-quality.
-
Rolled canvas prints are sealed at the time of printing and can be gently cleaned with a very soft brush or cloth. If a deeper cleaning is needed, you may use a barely damp microfiber cloth.
**Please be sure to clean your canvas print sparingly to avoid too much rubbing or moisture.
-
Rolled canvas prints are packaged with premium packaging material and extreme care. These will need to be stretched and framed upon delivery. A tracking number will be provided when your print ships.

Tabletop, small, and large metal prints
Metal prints are high-quality limited edition prints that are printed and infused into aluminum! They have incredible visual depth and luminosity, giving them an almost backlit feel.
You have never seen more brilliant color than you will with these metal prints. The image almost jumps off the print and brightens up any space.
No cords or light bulbs required – these prints pick up the natural lighting of your space and transfer it through the image, making them vibrant on their own.
Metal prints are created here in Iowa! They are durable, will not bend, and come ready to hang.
Because the ink from printing is quite literally cooked into the aluminum surface, your metal print will not peel and will be enjoyed for generations to come.
While I do not recommend putting these out in the rain or snow, they will hold up to the elements and would make a vibrant addition to your porch or sunroom.
Your metal print will have a matte finish, so no need to worry about it having a hard, glossy flare even in well-lit areas.
-
All large metal prints come ready to hang with an aluminum standout mount that floats your print one inch off the wall. A support bar is also attached to the back of larger metal prints to prevent warping. Small and tabletop metal prints can be hung or placed on a mini easel. Big or small, one nail in the wall is all it takes to display your new art!
-
Simply wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or smudges. Dry with a smooth towel or cloth that you would use to dry your eye glasses. Please avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

Luster Prints
Luster prints are archival quality limited edition paper prints. The term ‘luster’ comes from their glossy, slightly textured look. All luster prints are printed on premium quality Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper by a professional printer here in Iowa.
Luster prints give you a more affordable way to customize your fine art. Small luster prints come matted and fit into standard frame sizes found at your local arts and crafts store or online.
Larger luster prints come with a full bleed (meaning the image will go to the edge of the paper and no mat is included) and may need to be custom famed. The benefit of custom framing is you get to choose a frame that matches your style. If you’d like help choosing a frame, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d be happy to help.
When ordering, each luster print option will state whether it has a mat included or is full bleed (without a mat).
-
Small luster prints can be set on an easel or framed with glass, plastic, or plexiglass in front of them. (You will want your print in a protective sleeve if displayed on an easel without a frame.) Large luster prints should be framed with glass, plastic, or plexiglass in front of them.
The styrene mount option is excellent for larger prints that will be added to a frame, to make them a little more durable.
Styrene is a super smooth plastic mounting substrate that resists warping and adds rigidity to paper prints. It has no natural fibers, so it is not affected by variations in humidity and will remain warp free over time.
-
Always clean your luster print carefully and with a soft, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. Anything rough or textured will scratch your print.
You do not want to scrub on lusters or use any moisture when cleaning them. Lusters will definitely last the longest in a frame/behind glass or plastic.

All luster prints are packaged with premium packaging material and extreme care to guarantee a safe delivery. A tracking number will be provided when your print ships.

Custom/Commission Paintings
A commission or custom painting is one that is totally unique to you. Using photos and your memories, I’ll bring your most-loved Midwest farmscape, landscape, or skyscape to life with bold and brilliant colors.
No prints of your commission will be sold to the public. However, if you’d like to have some prints made for family or friends, we can absolutely make this happen.
Your custom painting can be any size you like, from very-large scale to small. I’ll discuss sizing options with you upon booking.
Each commission painting is made on professional, 1.5-inch deep canvas and the highest-quality paints and paint markers to ensure it lasts for generations and will not fade over time.
Your painting will be sealed with a clear coat finishing spray to protect it for years to come.
-
Most commission paintings are finished with black edges and come ready to hang without a frame. If you prefer, I would be glad to help you choose framing options or point you in the right direction for custom framing.
